A Little About The Beat Down Gang August 27, 2008

So I suppose if you are reading this, you are a little curious about how this crazy gang got together!  I am a young mother of 3 beautiful little boys.  Crimes committed against children are in my opinion, the most heinous crimes known to man.  The worst part about these crimes is that these children often do not have a voice to speak against their attackers.  They are left wounded emotionally, physically and physchologically.  I have been told I am a bleeding heart that wants to save every child that needs saving.  For a while, I thought I was alone in my desire to do this (as crazy and impossible as it sounds!), but then I found a group of ladies.  A group of ladies that were as crazy, funny, loyal and passionate as I am.  From there the Beat Down Gang was formed.

This is the basis of ‘The Beat Down Gang’.  We all feel that crimes committed against children need to be seen.  We need to be these children’s voices.  We need to find them and bring them safely home, we need to demand they be removed from dangerous situations, we need to lay them to rest, we need to be sure they see justice.  We want society to hear us, and to step up and say enough is enough.  We will no longer tolerate our children being hurt.  We will not find an excuse for a mother or father who has left thier child in a car, a mother or father who has allowed someone to molest their child, the list goes on.  WE WILL NOT ACCEPT EXCUSES ANYMORE.

Everyone involved in this blog shares this sentiment.  We are passionate, and yes fiery spirits.  We also like to laugh, and we need to laugh, because the weight of these issues can not break us.  We laugh together, yes but we also cry together.  We are a family.  We care for the children first and foremost, but we need to pull together to make our voices heard.
